Abstract
For nine months (Aug 05 - May 06) a computer hacker illegally accessed a University of Tennessee computer that contained employee information. This information included names, address and Social Security numbers of around 36,000 current and former UT employees. It appears that this hacker used the computer to store and transmit motion pictures and UT officials do not believe the employee information was used accessed. The University of Tennessee has setup a toll-free number for any current or former employee that might have questions about the breach. That number is 866-748-1680.
