Tenn. Tech Loses Student Data

Abstract
Tennessee Tech University is notifying students after a USB drive containing student information went missing. The drive contained the names and Social Security numbers of 990 students living in the university's Capital Quad and Crawford residence halls during the Fall 2007 semester. According to a university spokesperson, the information was transferred to the drive for transfer after an employee was unable to print the information.
