Radford University Students Warned Over Security Breach

Quick Facts

Abstract
Radford University is warning students about a recently discovered computer breach within the university's Waldron College of Health and Human Services. Radford staff discovered a computer virus on one of the Health and Human Services servers that opened that server up for possible breach. Staff also discovered that this server contained the personal information, including names and Social Security numbers, on no more then 100 Radford students. Radford officials do not believe that the student information was viewed or copied, but has sent out letters to the affected students to inform them of the incident. In addition, Radford University has created a web site - wchs-web.asp.radford.edu/security - for any students that have questions about the incident or what they can do to help monitor their credit.
