Abstract
A University of West Florida accounting student made a startling discovery while searching for a professor's phone number. What the system returned was that along with the professors contact information, the directory contained the a link containing professor's username and password and took the student to an internal UWF system. This UWF internal system contained personal information including address, home telephone number, Social Security number, W-2 information, and much more. WEAR has alerted UWF President John Cavanaugh, who promised the situation would be dealt with immediately. However, there is no word yet from UWF officials on whether or not affected individuals will be notified of the breach.
