Abstract
Umpqua Community College is alerting students after it was discovered that the "Moodle" course management system used by the college was recently compromised. The college has shutdown the system, but said there was no evidence that personal information was compromised. However, the Oregon Department of Consumer and and Business Services recommends that all affected individuals visit the department's web site and learn about identity theft protection. According to college officials, this was an isolated incident and encourages individuals with questions to call the college's IT department for help.
