Abstract
Tokyo University of Science officials announced the loss of personal information on 8,800 students and graduates. A bag belonging to an associate-professor that contained an external hard disk with the student information was stolen during the professor's train ride home. Information on this disk included names, address and student grades. The university is set to take punitive actions against the professor.
