Abstract
The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is alerting students after student information was discovered to be available through a Rose-Hulman web site. The information, uploaded by an employee last fall, includes the names, Social Security numbers and dates of birth on 1,900 Rose-Hulman students. Rose-Hulman officials became aware of the incident after a student searching for his name discovered the information. According to Rose-Hulman spokesperson Bryan Taylor, there is no evidence that any unauthorized individual copied or used this information.
