CLG Employee Exposes NYIT Student Information In Email

Abstract
The New York Institute of Technology recently notified 250 students after an e-mail was sent out with a file containing student information. The e-mail was sent by an employee of Cardean Learning Group, a company NYIT contracts with to provide services to NYIT. The e-mail in question was sent a CLG academic advisor with a file attached that contained student names, address, phone numbers, student numbers, marital status, dates of birth and Social Security numbers. In the letter to the affected individuals, NYIT is offering the students one year of Triple Advantage credit monitoring through ConsumerInfo.com.
