Murray State University Exposes 260 Student SSNs Online

Abstract
SSNBreach.org notified Murray State University after it discovered an excel file containing student and professional information on the university's web site. The file, an excel document titled "2000-2001 State Admissions Report", contained the names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, ethnicity, gender, GPA, and test scores on 260 students and professionals. It appears the files has been online since at least June 13, 2002 and available through Google Cache for at least 1 1/2 years. Murray State immediately removed the file from its web site and contacted the major search engines to remove this file as well. In addition, Murray State University issued this press release concerning the breach.
