Abstract
Harford Community College began notifying Department of Social Service clients after it discovered the loss of a flash drive containing personal information. The flash drive, lost by an employee in the WAGE Connection office, contained the names, Social Security numbers, application numbers and descriptions of special circumstances on 70 WAGE Connection participants. The loss of the drive was immediately reported to the college and to the Department of Social Services. A joint investigation is underway. According to the notification letter, Harford Community College will at minimum "be providing additional training to personnel".
