Abstract
Beth Philips, the US Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, recently announced that a former University of Central Missouri police officer and his wife plead guilty to identity theft targeting UCM students. James and Amanda Drake admitted to stealing UCM enrollment lists containing student names, dates of birth and Social Security numbers. The Drakes used this information to obtain 250 credit cards in students' names and charge over $30,000.
