Abstract
Georgia Institute of Technology recently announced that the personal information of 3,000 current and former Georgia Tech employees might have been exposed during a recent computer breach. The computer in question housed employee information such as names, addresses and Social Security numbers on 3,000 employees as well as about 400 Georgia Tech purchasing card numbers. Georgia Tech has contacted the affected individuals and urged them to contact the major credit agencies and place fraud alerts on their accounts. The Georgia Bureau of Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigations have been notified of this incident.
