Abstract
Central Connecticut State University is apologizing to 750 students after a recent mailing exposed these students in possible identity theft. CCSU recently sent students 1098T tax forms containing tuition information. It appears the forms were folded incorrectly and a student's Social Security number was displayed in the viewing window with their name and address. CCSU was able to locate the faulty machine and recalibrate it but not before 750 letters were already mailed. In a letter to the affected student CCSU apologized for the mistake and urged the students to monitor their credit closely.
