Abstract
Del Mar College is alerting students after a class roster containing personal information was stolen. The roster, stolen from an instructors vehicle, contained the names and Social Security numbers of 53 students in Del Mar College's General Educational Development program. According to Del Mar College President Mark Escamilla, the college is taking steps to support the students affected by this breach. Officials met with the student and provided information on preventing identity theft and how to contact the different credit bureaus. Students were also informed to contact the police if the student noticed suspicious activity on their credit reports.
